Rich Vivone Rich Vivone lived in Alberta for 42 years. He came to Alberta from Ontario in 1964 to study at the University of Alberta and remained in the province until his retirement in 2006. He worked as the Edmonton Journal's university corespondent during his undergraduate years and was Editor-in-Chief of the Gateway, student newspaper at the University of Alberta. After graduation, Rich moved to Red Deer, Alberta, as Sports Editor of the Red Deer Advocate. Rich joined Education Minister David King's staff in 1980. In 1985, he and David founded Effective Strategies consulting company. Insight into Government newsletter was one component of Effective Strategies. In 1986, Insight into Government became an independent company under Rich's editorship. He published the popular political newsletter for 19 years, until his retirement in 2005.
